About Lake Eldora Race Team
The Lake Eldora Race Team (LERT) was formed in 1975 to support local interest in ski racing. Although the organization was originally named for the Eldora Resort, which opened under the name Lake Eldora, the Lake Eldora Race Team was and remains an independent organization.

The organization focused on providing a team centered racing experience for those who loved to ski race in the 70s and 80s, catering to all ages. In the mid-90s, LERT became a more formal entity providing ski racing programs to young skiers on the Front Range. Formal coaching staff and a director of operations developed more focused programs. LERT held fundraising events, recruited directors and coaches with ski racing experience, and formalizing programs.
Today, the Eldora Mountain Ski and Snowboard Club (EMSC) continues the ski race program originated under LERT.  EMSC has several youth programs focusing on entry level ski racing, advanced ski racing, and even Olympic preparation. EMSC provides an exceptional youth program for athletes with diverse abilities in skiing and snowboarding.

LERT serves as the umbrella organization for EMSC as well as Singletrack Mountain Bike Adventures (SMBA). SMBA is the longest running, independent junior mountain bike program in Colorado. It provides summer camps, after-school programs, race training, and youth leadership opportunities. Utilizing a progression-oriented, skill-based curriculum for novice to advanced junior racers, kids improve their technique, confidence, and performance. An estimated 2,000 riders from across the country have participated in SMBA. For the past 15 years, SMBA has facilitated the development of confidence, self-sufficiency, and environmental stewardship on and off the trail for 7-18 year olds

Our goal and intentions are to provide year round sports programs dedicated to skiing, snowboarding, and mountain biking. LERT annually supports 300 or more athletes at all levels and encourages all athletes to have fun, offers success at all levels and creates the foundation for many top athletes to excel.

Our Mission Statement:
